Feel the power of escaping civilization for a short while, and experience the soul silence of the desert through a guided hike and activities. Then carry the awe of the desert back into civilization by examining through the lens of Biblical teachings what values it offers for human societies.
Take in the Israeli desert like you never have before! Your guide, Yisrael Chevroni, will share original poetry, and commentaries and text about the Exodus narrative. Explore creatively and experientially the spiritual message of the desert. Your trip and experience is built from the natural geography of the trail chosen for the group.
An optional multi-day experience will include a visit to Shuva, a moshav near Qiryat Malachi. After experiencing the soul silence of the desert, the group will return to the moshav to participate in workshops that connect the desert experience back to their everyday lives. Participants will engage in activities about green building and community building that will challenge them to connect the awe of the desert into values of human and environmental relations.
